I wasn't excited at all for this game when it was shown at E3. But the more and more I read about it, I'm extremely interested in buying it or at least give it a try.
I don't want to sound like I'm mindlessly bashing the 360. But honestly if this game isn't being published by Microsoft,(which it can't be seeing as how it's 2K Marin), then there is a big chance it's going to either be a multiplat from the beginning or get ported later. Nearly all of the third party exclusives that have been secured by Microsoft, have only been locked down for a year. But hey if they can get some hardcore exclusive content then great. I need more stuf...
Glad he enjoyed it.
Mmmmmm... Trophies.
They sure aren't showing that they care about exclusives. Or maybe I just don't see their grand plan.
Just shut up EA. Once Battlefield is successful you'll just drain the life out of it like Activision has done with CoD and like you guys did with Madden.
I don't know if calling them a former Sony exclusive developer is right, because it seems to me from various interviews that they want to continue Resistance past 3,( don't know about RC). So in a sense they still develop exclusively for Sony.
But that doesn't really matter because Overstrike looks to be another great game from them.
That isn't too bad. Plus think of the audience that is going to buy this. I'm pretty sure most of them are the hardcore guys that have a decent sized HDD in their console. Not people who bought the 4 gig Xbox and only play a few games.
Of coarse the have the urge to do multiplayer, if by urge you mean EA breathing down their necks to do it. To help appeal to all those shooter guys and to prevent their game from being sold to Gamestop.
Yeah I don't want thousands of people to lose their jobs, just because you're angry over a decision that more likely than not the higher ups made.
Wouldn't be surprised if it did.
Is this like a big, professional, publication like IGN, Gamestop, and etc. Because if so this article was not only unprofessional but really really dumb.
He's probably swept up in the Battlefield hysteria. Also he probably loves EA because they brought Mass Effect to the PS3. Which isn't bad or anything, but considering ever since being bought by EA Bioware has gone down hill, I would have preferred if they just stayed independent.
Loved this game. One of the best I've played in years.
Am I the only one who is hoping Insomniac puts all the great trailers this game has had one the Blu-Ray disc? The trailers have been phenomenal for this game. I especially loved the life action ones when it was first announced.
This is why this series is my favorite of all time. Why does November have to be so far away!?! WHY!!!!
If you don't have a PS3, I highly suggest taking advantage of this deal. Infamous 2 is amazing, and you get 30 days of PS Plus. Man I wish I would wait on buying my consoles I always miss deals like this. :/
They said there would be a free version of the Four Swords for download not Link's Awakening.
Out of one I think Resistance to be quite honest. Uncharted,Killzone, and Infamous seemed to hit their peak this gen in my eyes. Resistance is a good series it just hasn't hit a pinnacle in it's lifetime. So I think Insomniac should continue the series until they achieve that. Along with making sure Overstrike is the bomb. Which from the what I saw of the E3 trailer it looks like it's going to be a blast. Or at least the ideas they have for the game are going to be awesome.
He touched upon this at his keynote at Quakecon. Basically when they started Rage he essentially looked at the PC as a muscular console and developed for PCs near consoles specs at the time. They probably didn't expected Rage to have 6 year dev cycle and just kind of kept the PC development in lock with the specs of 06-07.
Was that bad? I don't think, they probably were planning to get Rage way earlier and still keep the parity between the consoles and PC.
